Points Of Interest: Yves Klein/Mogwai. Also, new song, from album 77.

Album Art For Leaves (Or, No Weddings)


To start, here's the first song off of Days Run Away LXXVII: Leaves (or, No Weddings), entitled Yves (the title will be understood when you read the rest of the post). Here's the song.



Now on to two big influences. The first of which is Yves Kline.
This is the intense motherfucker:

And he's best known for this:

A piece known as, 'That Fucking Blue Panting', Yves Kline Blue or IKB 191.
There's something about this man's intense simplicity that I find incredibly inspiring.

On a more musical note, Mogwai. A band whose importance and relevance only seems to grow with each new listen.
