SLOWARM

Here's the title track:

Heavy cello on this one. Slowarm is a record reflecting the kind of solo work I've been doing. Yes, the album art is a play on the Eric Clapton record Slowhand, and it's not because I like him, I mean, he's an alright guy playing for free at narcanon conventions, but my god, his music is the music they play in hell. Him and the Eagles. All day. Inoffensive 70s slow rock. Hell music. Anyway, this piece is a solo piece by me on cello. Download the album with the link above and enjoy.

Download New Song/Album D.R.A. CXV: Clones

Posted above are the album art/link and part two (my favorite part) of the title track of Days Run Away CXV: Clones. It was an experiment in recording in a more intimate environment: In the bedroom, dusk, no lgiths and sort of unplugged (a keyboard, a cello and a looping piano track, no electric guitar or anything). The resulting song/album is one of the more visceral and beautiful (In my opinion) tracks that we've done. Wordless chorus and chimes and cellos. Give it a listen. Download the album and let me know what you think.

Range Teens/Two Songs+Video

Well here goes. Even though 113 is much more instrumentally based (more experimental by my own standards), 112 is one of the most collaborative efforts and features a song in two parts at opposite ends of the album based around the same melody and..wait....I just said it's a song in two parts. That's the point isn't it. Well, no matter. The first is the drone/improvised 'Drafted To The Earth'. The second, tighter, and more structured piece is 'Range Teens'. Above, along with the songs, is the video for the take used for the song. The final track from the list isn't all too different from the actual take on the video. Just a bit of cleaning up and such.

on the personal end of things:
Graduation's coming. I'd rather not go to it. College has been incredibly disappointing and I leave feeling less confident/prepared for the real world than I did going in. Summer follows graduation. I do not look forward to either. It's going to be rough and I know it.

fingers crossed

FIrst song from 113

Soon I'll throw up Range teens, an acoustic very much structured new duet between diana & I. Here's the first song from 113, a record mostly recorded by me and this track, 'A An Em En Mi', which started off as an attempted cover of Aimee Mann's Wise Up. Album Art & Song posted above,
Enjoy.

Valley Heart from Album 112: Swimmers

Posted above is the first song from Days Run Away CXII: Swimmers entitled Valley Heart. It's taken from a half hour improvised drone session and features a makeshift theremin with a microphone and an amp and feedback. I apologize for anyone following but I've been recording a lot and it keeps piling up. I'll find the time soon. I think maybe it was all the snow fucking with my schedule that threw me off. Anyway, here you go. Hope you like it.

First post from days run away 109: Yellow

here you are with 'HGC and Gray Yellow' from Days Run Away CIX: Yellow. This record's something of a change from the last few. It's hazier, denser and is more drone based, a lot more ambient than the last 5 or 6. Another change is, and this isn't a hint so don't worry, I did all of the tracking on this one (Again, don't worry, Diana's sticking around. She was on the last five or six but I'll still probably turn out a few by myself). Album art posted above.

Sunset Statline (Undertoe 2)

Here it is, the Droned out redux of one of my earlier (by about a year and a half) stb songs 'Sunset Stateline'. This version (off of Scrapbooking) features diana and I on vocals. There's violins keys guitars and clarinets in there too. Album art is posted above.

UNDERTOE, FIRST SONG FROM DAYSRUNAWAY107:UNDERTOE

Album 107. I'm going to upload the last four sometime soon. Another song based on old lyrics and new vocals/guitar playing. This one is part of what will be a two or three part song. Featured in this post is also a video of the take we did, relatively raw mind you.
