New song.

'Lost Keys' is the first song with vocals and lyrics from my new album "A Darker, Deeper Alley I". It's genesis is similar to most of the tracks on ADDA I in that it came from a series of other songs produced during writer's block that never really had a chance. I put them through post, the sausage grinder if you will, until they came out as something completely unlike the original. 

Keys is, like many of my other vocal songs, lyrically very simple. To not muddle up this post, I've placed the lyrics here. Sonically, there's a very minimalist and shimmery sort of texture to it. The drums are some of my most simple and, in my humble opinion, most effective. There's a nice stereo quality to the whole piece and my vocals are, very intentionally, somewhat hushed.

I have had the worst writer's block in the world and I haven't updated a thing.

Creatively, and personally, things have been rough as of late. My apologies for my absence. I hope to get into the swing of things but I'll be damned if I can see any kind of creative light at the end of the tunnel.

Though I've never been able to put my finger on what my "muse" may be, it seems that someone took a hit out on it because I am coming up dry.

I've been really awful when it comes to updating these. I'm sure you know this. Blogger keeps changing and I keep getting busy with either work, the actual writing of songs or my masonic lodge meetings that I keep ignoring this. I shouldn't.

So here are some songs that I've uploaded on tindeck and forgot to post here. I love each of them equally and I'll spare you the lyrics. They differ sonically and I hope you can decipher the vocals.
